I received the wrong part for my truck, but the customer service from Amazon was great. Credited my account for the full purchase price.
 Mistakes in the Database! January 6, 2009
I purchased this as a gift for my brother, and went through the 'make sure it fits your vehicle' setup before purchasing. However, when I got the confirmation back, the product I'd purchased was for a 'crew cab' pickup instead of the 'extended cab' pickup I'd entered in the parameters. I have to return it and order something different. Make sure you do your research elsewhere, then purchase from Amazon by part number only (don't use their search database) if the price is better. If you rely on Amazon's database, you might end up with the wrong part for your vehicle. On the bright side, it looks like Amazon will give me free shipping to return the wrong item, so hopefully I won't be penalized in that way. All I'll be out is some time while we wait for the right one to arrive.
